The NFL Rules

Packers' fans had a rough year last year when Aaron Rodgers was lost for the season. Rodgers broke his collarbone when Anthony Barr landed on him. This hit was legal last year, but this year it might be a foul, and I say might be a foul because the officiating this year hasn't been consistent with their calls. The NFL is standing by the rash of horrible calls in the first three weeks of games. The rash of flags thrown at defenders tackling the quarterback. Why is the quarterback getting such special treatment? Does it have anything to do with the NFL paying quarterbacks a large sum of money? These poor quarterbacks are exposed to some vicious hits that for some reason never get called. A casual fan can't help but notice the inconsistency of the calls that aren't called. Just watch an NFL game and notice how the rules aren't applied equally through the league. I understand the importance of protecting players, but it is football and a game is about tackling, ...

I Can't Believe It

With the season looking over, the Packers pulled off something that left Bears fans crying all the way back to Illinois. Who will forget the Bears quarterback acting like he had the Packers where he wanted them when he made a gesture for the crowd to quiet down. Boy did he look like a fool running for his life at the end of the game. Yes, none of the heroics of last night's game would of happened had it not been for the Packers having a tough quarterback that knows the game is four quarters. And don't forget the Bears had chances to end the game but couldn't do it. Mack looked like the second coming of LT, but in the end he looked like a winded athlete that didn't report to camp. He made two big plays that showed why the Bears gave him so much money. Defense may win games but it takes a good offense too. The Packers defense looked good in the secondary. They couldn't defend some of the tight passes in the first half, but they came together when it mattered the...

The Packers 53 Man Roster

The Packers made some tough cuts, but it looks good for Packers. I was shocked they kept Ty Montgomery and eight wide receivers. I understand Montgomery is a wide receiver playing running back. But why not go with a true running back for that position. That means there is really only one true running back when it comes to Jamaal Williams. Ty Montgomery is a good receiver but he is also injury prone, so it seems like the Packers aren't too serious about the running game. The Packers will get Aaron Jones back after he serves a two-game suspension. Why keep eight receivers? Do the Packers plan on trading one of them? If they do, well, then it makes sense to keep eight right now. The roster might have other holes at linebacker, but that is probably going to change in the next couple weeks. I feel the Packers are going to trade a receiver for a good pass rusher. There were rumors that the Packers were interested in Khalil Mack but Mack ended up going to the Bears. ...
