Winning Out?

Green Bay, WI-- Aaron Rodgers practiced today. McCarthy told reporters that Rodgers looked "good" today. If the defense can play a complete game, the Rodgers return should be worth it, and the Packers might be able to shock some of the teams that will be in the Playoffs.

The Eagles will be going in with a backup Quarterback. The Vikings might be going in with a different quarterback if they continue to lose or have offensive struggles.

What about the Saints. The Saints already played the Packers and beat them. Yes, they beat them because Hundley was the quarterback, so a rematch might end differently.

The Packers beat the Seahawks, and they seem to have their number, but there is that ugly playoff game where the Packers blew a lead and lost in overtime.

With the playoffs, you just never know who will get hot. Being a low seed will make it a hard for the Packers but they did win a Super Bowl after being a sixth seed in 2010.

But first, the Packers need to win out.

 The Packers won't be playing in the Super Bowl. It seems numbing to think that is the reality. This was one of the most hyped seasons for the Packers. Way to Go!

The Packers find new ways to lose, but there is something consistent in the way they lose and that is bad calls by the head coach. It is easy for us to second-guess a decision made by McCarthy, but it seems like he makes some bonehead choices that even someone the worst coaches in the NFL don't make.  McCarthy could have used a challenge on the incomplete pass to Lockett, and maybe we aren't talking about the stupidity of trusting your defense to get the ball the back.  What the coach sees his defense get slashed and decides it is a good idea to put his faith in them to win the game? It is a little late in the season for a morale booster for the defense. What they need is a kick in the ass. Mathews is old and slow. The run defense hasn't played a complete game all year. The Richest Man in the NFL

The Packers finally signed Aaron Rodgers to a contract extension. That I'd good news for Packer Nation, if they can protect him from another season ending injury. The defense still looks weak. The offensive line looks weak at times. But it is hard to get a true picture of either side because most of the starters didn't play that much this preseason, so you really know what you are getting when the regular season starts. Let us hope that Aaron Rodgers stays healthy.
